Here are a few questions that I am frequently asked, but feel free to reach out anytime to ask whatever you need!

FAQs for Wedding Photography

What if there is inclement weather predicted for our wedding day?

I will be watching the radar like a hawk, but your wedding planner and other vendors should be too! There definitely needs to be contingencies in place. For me, I come prepared with lights in case we need to move the whole thing indoors, and a few clear umbrellas just in case we want some outdoor shots in the rain, assuming it's safe to do so.

Do I have to order prints through you?

I highly recommend ordering wedding prints through me to ensure quality. I also curate wedding albums, if that's something you'd be interested in! There is nothing like having photos printed and displayed. It's simply *the best*! That said, you are welcome to print wherever you'd like, as long as you understand that not all printers are created equal.

Can I add hours of coverage the day of if my wedding goes longer than planned?

Absolutely! Extra wedding day hours are $500 per additional hour, and will be billed after the wedding day is over via emailed invoice, and must be paid within 3 days of the invoice date.

Do you shoot destination weddings?

Yes, I do! Let's talk about where we're going and what you need from me!

What is the benefit of a second shooter?

A second shooter allows us to get multiple perspectives and to be in two places at once! This is a necessity for longer wedding days, but not always necessary for the smaller, shorter ones.

Will there be a second shooter at my wedding?

This depends on which package you select! Some of my packages include a second shooter! If you would like one as an add-on for a package that doesn't include one, let me know and we can work it out!

What kind of gear do you use?

I have been a Nikon girl since my beginning! I shoot with Nikon full-frame professional cameras, lenses, and flashes.

Do you provide unedited RAW images?

The images in your gallery will be edited to improve lighting, contrast, sharpness, and color — all of which is a standard process for digital photographers. Therefore, I do not provide the unedited RAW images. I also do not cap the amount of photos you receive. I carefully curate and edit all the images that turn out, and only ever leave out blinks, blurries, and repeats. I promise I am not holding out on you.

Do you charge travel fees?

Weddings *may* incur travel fees depending on a few factors. These factors are highly individualized and the only way to know an estimate is to reach out to me!

FAQs for Portrait Sessions

My partner/family is not excited about our upcoming session. What do I do?

Getting photos taken is not everyone's favorite thing. I get it. Honestly, just bribe the heck out of them. I know it sounds silly and simple, but "a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go down!" The other thing to keep in mind is while some people don't love the process of a photoshoot, EVERYONE loves the product! Remember to stay calm during the session even if people are a little grumpy and to throw kindness around like confetti! Heck, bring confetti if you think that'll soften them up! (But not unless it's biodegradable, because environment lol) But on the real, getting mad at a session really dulls the vibe and can affect the final product. We all want to have a good time, and I know we will!

What if there is inclement weather predicted for our session?

I will be watching the radar like a hawk. If we feel worried about the weather, we will reschedule. If you are up for something really unique, like shooting in the rain or fog or wind, we can do that too! Some people like that kind of thing, and I'm totally up for it! However, most would prefer to reschedule, and that's great too! I want you to love your images AND feel safe at the session. Let's not work in thunderstorms, people.

Do I have to order prints through you?

You may order through me if you would like high quality prints and albums, but you can take your files to any print company you love. I do not recommend grocery store or convenience store printers, but to each their own.

Can I extend the session on the day of?

A la carte hours are available for any of my sessions. Additional time for portrait sessions are $100 per additional 30 minutes. Please be aware that planning extended time ahead of time is wise, as I cannot always accommodate an extensions of a last minute nature.

How would you describe your style?

I would describe my style as light and airy, and "true to color ish but a little dreamier and filmier" (I wish you could see the way I move my hands when I say this out loud lol). I love to utilize lots of light to create stunning images that evoke a sense of lightness, joy and beauty. For candids, I love to create images that remind us of the moment, because eventually the memories start to fade. People are my passion, and I like to photograph little "soul glimpsing moments" as often as I can, because our time with our loved ones is always shorter than we want it to be.
